BSF CELEBRATES 75th INDEPENDENCE DAY

Border Security Force Frontier Headquarter, Meghalaya celebrated 75th Independence Day at Umpling, Mawpat and Dobasipara Campuses which started with the `Flag Hoisting’ by Sh. Inderjeet Singh Rana, Inspector General of Meghalaya Frontier followed by various programmes at Shillong. Flag hoisting was also done at all other campuses of BSF located at Shillong and Tura. While addressing BSF men at Umpling Camp Inspector General congratulated all recipients of “Gallantry and Meritorious medals” on the occasion of 75th Independence Day-2021. He added that the Independence that we are cherishing today is very hard earn. We should understand it’s value and thrive to strengthen and make our country most developed and peaceful country in the whole world.

2.Talking about the security scenario on the Border he said that, to ensure full proof security and vigil at the International Border, the Sentinels of borders have launched special ‘OPS Alert’ and  manpower at border has been augmented. IG BSF Meghalaya was very appreciative of the troops guarding the border despite tough and treacherous terrain defying the weather conditions in remote areas of Meghalaya.

3.On the auspicious occasion, he also visited the Composite Hospital BSF Shillong & talked to the patients and presented them with fruit baskets. He also conveyed his greetings to the people of Meghalaya, the member of the Force and their families.
