Dr Rupali Basu, Managing Director & CEO, Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital, receives the IMA Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to healthcare, in the 30th year of her illustrious professional career, from Janab Firhad Hakim, the Mayor of Kolkata and Cabinet Minister. Also present on the dais are Dr Abul Kasem Molla (extreme left), President, IMA Bengal, and Dr Kakoli Sen, Joint Secretary, IMA Bengal. The award was conferred on Dr Basu at BIMACON 2022, the annual conference of IMA Bengal on Saturday. Under her stewardship, Apollo Hospitals, Kolkata, became the first hospital in eastern India to get the coveted JCI Gold Seal, a feat unmatched by any other hospital in the region till date. Her pioneering leadership in managing hospitals has led to the transformation of Apollo, AMRI, Wockhardt (Now Fortis) and now Woodlands, among others.
