TiE Hyderabad wins the coveted Award for ‘Best Support to Women Entrepreneurs’ at TiE Chapter Global Retreat in Italy
- TiE Hyderabad Chapter’s women empowerment activities recognized as unique and robust, bests other TiE Global Chapters
1st September 2022: Hyderabad– TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), the internationally prominent NPO devoted to the growth of entrepreneurs has recently witnessed its global flagship TiE Global Retreat at Rome, Italy. TiE Global Board of Trustees bestowed the prestigious ‘Best Support to Women Entrepreneurs’ Award to TiE Hyderabad chapter. This is in recognition of the city chapter’s brilliance in diversity and empowerment, with over 100 successful women entrepreneurs to corroborate the chapter’s triumph. Among other competing chapters were TiE New York, TiE Dubai, TiE South California, TiE London, TiE Atlanta, TiE Delhi, TiE Bangalore, to name a few. These awards were meticulously evaluated by TiE Global Board of Trustees including Mr. B.J Arun, Chairman – TiE Global, and Ms. Smitha Sidhanti, Past Co-Chair- TiE Women, among others.
The award was bestowed to TiE Hyderabad, which was contending against 40 national and international TiE chapters. TiE Hyderabad has a robust system for the development of its women entrepreneurs with structured mentorship programs which have manifested highly successful entrepreneurs. Through these bootcamps and mentor sessions, numerous female-driven startups have showcased progressive results. From its mock pitching sessions to one-on-one clinical mentoring, the sessions were comprehensive and are designed to engage key investors. In a span of 2 mere years, TiE Hyderabad chapter has impacted over 200 women-led startups, molding them into successfully running businesses and raising funds through Shark Tank India. The entrepreneurs represent startups of different stages and sectors, ranging from manufacturing to Biosciences, Fashion to Social enterprise, Agri & Biotech to Edutech.

The TiE Hyderabad chapter is proud to host the upcoming TiE Global Summit from the 12th-14th of December 2022 in Hyderabad, which will also feature the TiE Women Conclave’s Semi-finalists and finalists. The 40+ finalists from diverse chapters will come together to compete on 12th December 2022 from 1 winner among the 6 finalists will be chosen to win the conclave and win $100K equity-free cash prizes.
The Summit is likely to witness over 2,500 delegates from diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem raging from start-ups to established organizations including powerful international and national female speaker line and close to 200+ women entrepreneurs are expected to attend the event.
