Hindustan Copper Limited observes ‘Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath’ on 1st October as part of ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’

Kolkata, 01.10.2023: Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India, with its Corporate Office in Kolkata joined the nation in observance of “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath” on 1st October, 2023.


Shri Ghanshyam Sharma, CMD, HCL, along with Shri Shakil Alam, Economic Advisor (Mines) accompanied by senior executives and all the employees of HCL Corporate Office gathered in the slum area of Milan Sangha, 10 Rammoy Road, Padmapukur, Bhowanipore, Kolkata – 700025 to devote one hour slot voluntarily for this campaign on 01.10.2023. The people from the office of Ward Councillor and local residents joined the HCL team in “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath” cleanliness drive with full fervour. The drive was also joined by Smt. Srobonti Bandopadhyay, a leading journalist and member of State Women’s Commission.


During the campaign, streets, adjacent areas, drainage and establishments were properly cleaned. Banners and posters were put on display. This was further followed by a fumigation to keep local residents safe from dengue.


Swachhata Pakhwada 2023 was launched on 15.09.2023. Various on ground activities have been organized by HCL in and around its units and Offices as part of Swachhata Hi Seva campaign in Khetri Copper Complex in Rajasthan, Indian Copper Complex in Jharkhand, Malanjkhand Copper Project in Madhya Pradesh, Taloja Copper Project in Maharashtra, Gujarat Copper Project in Gujarat, Regional Sales Office in New Delhi and in Kolkata, where the Company is headquartered.
