Monoshij Organized “Saturday Vibes” for Stronger Mental Health

KOLKATA, JULY: Positive and sound mental health shape the overall well being of individuals. Keeping this in mind, “Monoshij” which means “mind from within” in Bengali came into light. Through a team effort of their counsellors and special educators, Monoshij by Techno India Group, organized a series of events called Saturday Vibes to address the issue of mental health during the challenging phase of pandemic. Engaging sessions were conducted from mental health during pandemic, Power of surrender, Expanding the heart space, Power of forgiveness to the final event on topic “Being Limitless”.

To embrace such these sessions we had with us Dr. Sabysachi Mitra, Rabindrasangeet expo- nent Ms. Sraboni Sen ,elocutionist Bratati Bandyopadhyay and holistic coach,
integrated clinical hypnotherapist and trans-personal regression therapist Indrani Sinha Seth started from 22nd May to Saturday 24th July conducted through a webinar.

The brainchild project of Professor Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairman Techno India Group, started the wellness clinic Monoshij, under the guidance of her, a team of expertise where 24 x7 counseling sessions are on to combat stress, anxiety, and depression of individuals during this time.

Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury states that wellness is a connection between know- ledge and action and the intention of Monoshij is to heal people from inside and enrich lives of others.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused immense disruption in the normalcy of life and has induced plethora of mental issues like anxiety, stress, depression as people have been consigned to stay within the four walls. Saturday Vibes was a special series of events on Zoom where open discussion flowed among counsellors and celebrities. On 24th July “Being Limitless” marked an informative communication where coun- sellor Indrani Sinha Seth threw light on ways through which psychological state of an individual could be improved. According to her, “We should inhale awareness and calm and exhale confusion, stress and anxiety.

Through her hour-long psychological
counselling session, she suggested ways to detangle, detach and disassociate with one’s limited self.

To imbibe a lighter mood into the hearts of the audience, Bratati Bandyopadhyay enlightened the audience on how poetry helps us embark on the journey of the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings. She recited numerous poems by Rabindra- nath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam, which enveloped the atmosphere with positive energy. She added, “The depth of poetry gives me the positive spirit even during the tough times of pandemic. In order to cope up with the present situation, people should learn to adjust and indulge in reading, writing, and singing, in order to overcome the gloom and dark.”

To emphasize on the power of surrendering and necessity of laughter, comedians Abhinav Tewary and Ritabrata Dass revitalized the 10th July and 12th June session of Saturday Vibes, with their energy
and jovial spirit. They feel that laughing is that only therapy that can heal one faster.

The 26th June session of Saturday Vibes highlighted ways in which forgiveness reduces stress, along with conversation with singer Sraboni Sen. She feels that Music has always been the soundtrack of one’s life. It is simply the language of one’s spirit. On 22nd May, renowned Consultant neuropsychia- trist Dr. Sabyasachi Mitra engaged in an illuminating discussion on maintaining sanity during pandemic. He quotes that one need to connect oneself with positive attitude. With the right mindset every battle can be won in life.
